Kickstart vacancy – Junior Graphic designer

Your primary responsibility will be design, artworking and concepting, but you’ll also be encouraged to collaborate, source images and research new ideas and styles. We’ll give you clear briefs, provide you with creative direction and support to become the best designer you can be.

We’ll also encourage you to contribute to agency life and to work with our copywriters, animators and creative suppliers on our creative projects. An organised and dedicated approach to work is important; you’ll be required to take responsibility for the work you produce, making sure it’s of the highest quality, accurate and completed to deadline.

Ours is a growing agency that welcomes good ideas and fresh thinking, and this is an exciting role that could kick-start a career in the creative industry.

SIM7 is a busy can-do creative agency with lots of different clients and we’re looking to welcome a talented designer to our team. In this role you will work closely with our Creative Director to create effective, inspiring design for a wide range of situation; from social media visuals to brochures, websites, animations, advertisements – and everything in-between. Have a look round our website to see examples of our work.

A degree in graphic design (or similar) would be preferable, but A Level design or equivalent with a clear passion for creativity and some experience of designing for different situations even self-guided work would be useful. We are looking for someone with strong Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills. If you have a flair for animation, that would be a real bonus.

Experience is also welcomed, but it doesn’t matter if you’ve not designed commercially before. You’ll be required to work independently on a number of projects and should be an organised self-starter and you’ll need an attention to detail.

You’ll also need to be generally web and computer-literate, enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work under your own initiative. You should be confident enough to contribute ideas and join in with creative discussions about concepts, campaigns or designs. Ours is an output driven business and the ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required.

This role is for 25hrs a week at £10 per hour. Our main business hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, days and hours can be discussed at interview stage and agreed upon appointment.
