SIM7 is a creative agency that puts messaging at the heart of everything we do. And we’re looking for a canny wordsmith to join us as we grow.

More than anything, you’ll know how to use words well. You’ll also know your way around social media, be able to create simple visuals, upload blogs and generally get your head around digital platforms.

As for us, we’re an agency that’s all about big ideas and winning words. We create brands and campaigns that build stronger businesses, and we work with clients from all over the UK, Europe and beyond. Business schools, property, food and drink, mapping, mortgages and more.

The role will involve writing for and managing social channels, creating newsletters, blog writing, updating websites and coming up with ideas that will make our clients shine.

You’ll need an eye for detail. An appreciation of popular culture and creativity would be a bonus.

Salary: £22,000-£26,000 depending on experience (pro-rata)

Hours: 16-20 hours per week (days flexible)

Location: Working in our Bristol studio.

What you’ll do

  • Write clear, compelling copy for a range of clients and channels.
  • Manage social accounts.
  • Upload blogs, digital content and visuals to websites.
  • Create simple visuals and video content.
  • Help us to promote our agency.
  • Check, proof, post and generally get involved in all stages of creative delivery.

Who we’re looking for

  • Someone who loves words and knows how to use them.
  • At least a year’s experience (agency or freelance) in copywriting or social media.
  • Someone who appreciates the language of marketing and understands the principles of writing copy that sells.
  • A stickler for details and deadlines.
  • A confident, can-do member of the team who can work under pressure.
  • Someone who’s organised, IT literate and used to working with the Office suite. Experience of using Adobe Creative products or Canva would be helpful.
  • An English, journalism or marketing graduate would be preferable; A Level education is a minimum.
